Nomad Mk2 BRM Targa Florio 1969 #252 Konig/Konig by MEA Kit 43
Commissioned by Mark Konig from Lotus designer Rob Curl, just three Nomads were built in Curl's Sussex workshop. The second of these made its debut on the 1969 Targa Florio, shared by Konig and his wife Gabriel and Mark then teamed up with Tony Lanfranchi for the Paris, Brands Hatch and Nurburgring 100kms events. Bruno Mea has picked up the detail differences between the various race appearances well and the cars are modelled in his typical, slightly rustic, style, making for charming models of unusual subjects.

About MEA Kit 43
An interesting range initially specialising in 1:43 motorcycles. The nature of the subjects and the size of many of the parts mean that these are best suited to those with good eyesight! Casting quality can be variable and this combined with the size puts them firmly in the 'for the experienced modeller' category.
Alongside the bikes are a number of Dakar raid subjects and early Lotus race cars, again offered as kits and hand builts. SPL series are hand built only and concentrate on very unusual race cars. Build quality is variable, basic and nowhere near the class leaders. They are usually presented in recycled Spark cases. Very interesting subject matter though.
Made in France.
