Renard Delmas D31 Le Mans 1981 #32 Descartes/Bayard by MEA Kit 43

A what? We weren't overly aware of this unusual little privateer machine either until looking through projects for one of our completist Le Mans fans and approached Bruno Mea to make it. This true privateer effort was still running at the end of it's Le Mans debut, but was so far down the order it was unclassified having not covered sufficient distance. The model captures the shape and the decoration reasonably well and is modelled in Bruno's typically rustic style, each model being pretty much scratch built. One for the very serious LM collector.

About MEA Kit 43

An interesting range initially specialising in 1:43 motorcycles. The nature of the subjects and the size of many of the parts mean that these are best suited to those with good eyesight! Casting quality can be variable and this combined with the size puts them firmly in the 'for the experienced modeller' category. Alongside the bikes are a number of Dakar raid subjects and early Lotus race cars, again offered as kits and hand builts. SPL series are hand built only and concentrate on very unusual race cars. Build quality is variable, basic and nowhere near the class leaders. They are usually presented in recycled Spark cases. Very interesting subject matter though. Made in France.

A dedicated team, we provide the personal touch!
