McLaren M8F test 1971 by Marsh Models

The M8F was McLaren’s first new Can-Am machine after the death of the company founder and the design was the work of Gordon Coppuck. This limited edition hand built model (25 examples only) depicts the car in initial pre-season test form and we can enjoy the purity of the shape without too many sponsor logos distracting. There are a few decals on the model and the Goodyear across the front looks a little small when compared with period images but the overall shape is pretty good and the finish is excellent.

About Marsh Models

Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
