We were impressed with our first views of Modellismo 90’s Vauxhall Magnum and here we see the same core parts but with decals for the bright yellow and black machine of George Hill who finished twenty-third on the 1974 RAC rally. The kit components are well proportioned and cleanly cast with just a small amount of flash and the odd feed tag to remove from the larger parts. There’s plenty of etch for the fine details including window frames and even mud-flaps and the decals are clearly printed. There are a couple of small errors on the decal sheet though. The front number plate is correctly printed white on black and the rear should match, but is the later black on yellow. Also the co-driver is listed as Paul Short, but should be Peter Bryant. Phil Short co drove Hill the following year in a very similar car. A supplementary decal is apparently in print to rectify the errors.
