Ferrari 275P 23rd Sebring 12hrs 1965 #81 Mairesse/Bianchi by Looksmart
New rules for Sebring in 1965 allowing the 'big block' sports cars to enter favoured the American teams and as a result Ferrari officially withdrew his cars. There were still several Ferraris present though, officially private entries and in a variety of interesting colours such as this attractive gold example. The paint schemes may have been unfamiliar, but many of the drivers weren't and it was Mairesse and Bianchi who drove this one in the extremely wet race. Looksmart also offer the other cars from the race and all are smartly finished, making for interesting additions to any Sebring or Ferrari collection.
