Daimler SP250 Red by Oxford
The Daimler SP250 was something of a ‘bitsa’, being based on the chassis of Coventry neighbours Triumph’s TR4, with Daimler’s own 2.5 litre V8 engine and a fibreglass body. The styling is an acquired taste but the shape of Oxford’s model looks pretty good and as usual their paint finish is too. The wire wheels aren’t the most convincing, although fine etch has been used, and the wipers are typically heavy but the rest of the detailing is well proportioned and neatly applied.

About Oxford
Traditional diecast models, mostly of historic British vehicles. Overall shapes and paint finishes usually excellent. Some of the smaller detailing such as wipers can be a little heavy and wire wheels are sometimes replicated with printed acetate discs. Price point is very low, so something has to give and with a few accessories they make excellent models. Made in China for the UK.
