Healey Tickford Monte 1953 #173 by Oxford
Healey Tickford Monte Carlo 1953 #173
The 1953 Monte Carlo rally saw a record 404 entries and 253 of those arrived in Monaco un-penalised, so the 94th place classification for this car wasn’t bad! The shape of the Healey coupe is well replicated and the model is smartly finished in a deep burgundy. The only event photos that we have found show the front of the car covered in a temporary matt white paint, something common on the event at the time and which we note from other competitors was only present at certain points.

About Oxford
Traditional diecast models, mostly of historic British vehicles. Overall shapes and paint finishes usually excellent. Some of the smaller detailing such as wipers can be a little heavy and wire wheels are sometimes replicated with printed acetate discs. Price point is very low, so something has to give and with a few accessories they make excellent models. Made in China for the UK.
