Daimler Sandringham 1929 King George V by Oxford
Daimlers were the Royal car of choice in the UK until the late 1950s and this car was used by King George on official business from the Sandringham estate. On the nose we see the Britannia mascot which was fitted to all of his cars, while on the roof is the Royal Standard. There is some very fine detailing such as the exposed woodwork on the inside of the roof of the chauffeur’s compartment but we then rather frustratingly see printed spokes on clear discs for the wheels. It’s all cleanly finished though and for the money we can’t complain too much.

About Oxford
Traditional diecast models, mostly of historic British vehicles. Overall shapes and paint finishes usually excellent. Some of the smaller detailing such as wipers can be a little heavy and wire wheels are sometimes replicated with printed acetate discs. Price point is very low, so something has to give and with a few accessories they make excellent models. Made in China for the UK.
