The Phantom V was a mainstay of the Royal Mews garage so it's appropriate that Paragon's hefty diecast model is finished in Mason's Black over Royal Garnet- although it doesn't depict a Royal car, being left-hand drive. A right-hand-drive version is also offered, as is an alternative colour scheme of Mason's Black over Ivory, but to be frank that's reminiscent of a wedding car or a northern town mayoral limo. Besides its sheer size, the Paragon model impresses with its numerous opening panels: all four doors, boot lid and centre-hinged bonnet, the last of these revealing a fairly good replica of the black-enamelled engine. Detail is perhaps a little simplified - the tyres have no sidewall lettering, for example - but it's a very convincing and nicely finished piece, which really captures the real cart dominant character.
