Nissan GT-R LM Nismo Le Mans 2015 1:24 by Profil 24
Nissan GT-R LM Nismo Le Mans 2015
Nissan’s innovative front-engined LMP machine has caught the imagination of race goers, collectors and model makers alike and we are expecting several variants from a number of suppliers. This is the only kit so far though and at first glance the parts look pretty straightforward. The brakes are moulded into the chassis tub, as are many of the electronics boxes in the cockpit, so some careful detail painting will be needed here. It is painting that will be the greatest challenge if you opt for the build the #21 car, this being the most colourful with its red, white and blue scheme paying homage to the Group C Nissans of the early 90s. This will require a three colour finish and all of the cars have chrome red on the roof. The instructions say that this needs paining too, with little clue as to the masking lines, but after the initial delivery Profil have come up with a far better solution of adhesive chrome foil with templates to ensure that the shapes are correct. If you fancy making a little more work for yourself, the kit is cast with the doors closed but a pair of additional doors are included should you wish to open the cockpit up to add detail. There’s certainly plenty of potential here!
