Tamiya’s kit of the Paris-Dakar winning Peugeot 405 pre-dates etched detailing sets but Renaissance have taken a look back, inspired by their recently released Pikes Peak 405 (RENC2420). Two sheets of etch are included offering a wealth of small and not so small detailing parts ranging from brakes and grilles down to seat belt buckles and panel fasteners. The instructions include a parts list with colours and several excellent close up photos of the real car.

About Renaissance
Excellent kits and conversion sets (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Classic subjects (REN43 refs) are relatively simple builds, while the Integral series (RENI) of more modern subjects are a little more complex. Made in France
