Porsche 935K3 1st Le Mans 1979 Ludwig/Whittington/Whittington by Renaissance
This is a kit that we have been expecting from Renaissance for many years and at last it is ready. And what a kit it is. We're used to seeing a reasonable level of etch in these kits with window frames, various small fasteners and finishing details, but we weren't expecting to find the complete engine cover to be supplied as brass sheet to be folded and assembled! You'll need a steady hand and one of the etch folding devices will probably be useful, but get it right and it will look fantastic. The main body is well cast and there are plenty more resin parts for larger interior and ancillary parts. The wheels are multi-piece machined items as in other Renaissance 935s and all in all it makes for a great looking kit. We just hope it goes together as well as it looks!

Excellent kits and conversion sets (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Classic subjects (REN43 refs) are relatively simple builds, while the Integral series (RENI) of more modern subjects are a little more complex. Made in France
