This well finished resincast model depicts the Tyrrell 008 in start of season form, with the front wings swept forwards and rather clumsily placed oil coolers on top of the side pods. The latter were due to this car originally being designed as a ‘fan car’ with the cooling equipment underneath, but it didn’t work in winter testing and was shelved. It’s all very neatly modelled and at the rear we see plenty of suspension detail and the hint of an engine visible under the rear deck. The wing endplates are very finely made in etch and the paint and decalling throughout is very clean.
