Lancia LC1 Le Mans 1983 #51 Gaggia by Spark
Having enjoyed success as works Group 6 entries in 1982, the LC1s were sold to the Sivama team for 1983 and they fitted roofs to make them eligible for the C2 class, though they weren’t hugely successful. At Le Mans both cars made it home but hadn’t covered sufficient distance to be classified. This model captures the shape of its subject pretty well though there are a few slight errors on the decoration such as the relative widths of the blue and red stripes towards the rear and the front wheels look a little large. The finish is up to the usual standard though.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
