Lancia LC1 Le Mans 1983 #53 Chardonnet by Spark
Lancia’s LC1s made their final appearance at Le Mans as privateer cars with roofs added to make them eligible for the C2 class but it wasn’t a glorious outing. Overheating issues plagued both and though they took the chequered flag, neither was classified due to having covered insufficient distance, which was hardly surprising as they spent the bulk of the final five hours of the race sat in their pit garages. In terms of shape Spark’s model looks pretty good and the decoration on this one matches photos well. Our only real concern is the size of the front wheels.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
