RUF Greenster 2009 Green by Spark
German tuning firm Ruf are best known for taking Porsches and then turning them up to eleven and beyond with ludicrous horsepower. This is still Porsche based but in keeping with current trends in the automotive industry, demonstrates what could be possible with electric vehicles claiming a top speed of 225 kp/h and a range of between 250 and 320 kms depending on battery packs (though we're not told how long it will take to recharge). To get the most from the electric propulsion, the bodywork is smoothed out a little and the whole thing is finished in a very vivid green, these external details being well replicated by Spark.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
