Peugeot 908 6th Le Mans 2009 #7 Minassian/Lamy/Klien by Spark
Bringing us up to date, the first of the 2009 Le Mans entries that we see from Spark are the winning Peugeot and her two sister cars. We were interested to see how they would cope with the deceptively complex decoration and the answer is well. The main bodywork is finished in satin black with the blue, white and chrome areas all applied as decals. There is no sign of any creasing or tearing on the very intricate curves and the small detail differences are carefully observed. In among the chrome we also see a few etched details for items such as the exhaust outlets. Nicely done, we suspect that these will go very quickly.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
