Zytek 07S Le Mans 2009 #41 GAC by Spark
Although all three of these cars were created around the same core design there were a number of subtle dimensional differences, a lot of which being only a few millimetres when measured at scrutineering can be put down to set up. The main difference was that the LMP1 car (#23) was running a 4.4 litre engine while the other two had 3.4 litre versions of the Zytek V8 to run in the LMP2 class. Spark have used the same basic body casting for all of them and the finish is excellent in all cases, particularly the fine mica blue paint on the GAC car. The decals are all well placed, the small aerodynamic details check out well with race photos and overall they just look right.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
