There were four Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbos at Le Mans in 1981, three works cars and this Jolly Club entry wearing the white and red of Lubrifilm. There was plenty of experience among the drivers with Finotto, Schon and Pianta taking turns and they brought the car home in fourteenth position having lost significant time having a fuel injection pump replaced. The decoration on the car is relatively simple and has been neatly placed over a cleanly painted, well-proportioned body.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable.
