BMW 2002 1974 Red 1:18 by Spark
THE LOST TREASURE
When it came onto the market in 1973, the BMW 2002 Turbo was poaching in the top league of sports cars with its170 hp. The total of just 1,672 Turbos built were offered almost exclusively in chamonix white and polaris silver. However, chassis no. 4291334 was painted in verona red at the factory for German BMW dealer Bamo at Neu-Ulmas a one-off and delivered there on October 10, 1974. For a long time, this unique car was considered lost until it reappeared under a layer of white paint during a restoration.Today, thoroughly restored and after extensive research at the Munich factory, this treasure shines again in its originalred livery.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
