Porsche 997 Carrera Cup Champ 09 #99 by Spark
The various Porsche Cup series around the world offer plenty of colourful subjects for the modellers, though usually it's just the championship winners of celebrity cars which are modelled. This vividly decorated yellow and red machine was backed by one of the Chinese Porsche concessionaires and German magazine, "Auto, Motor und Sport", the latter presumably because the extremely experienced German racer Christian Menzel was the driver. It certainly makes for an attractive model and is something a little different.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
