HPD ARX 01D Le Mans 2011 #42 Strakka by Spark
This release from Spark completes their releases from prototype grids from the 2011 race and pre-race this car was one of the favourites for the P2 class, having won it the previous year. A qualifying crash wasn’t the best preparation and the car suffered a number of offs during the race before retiring just short of half distance with engine failure. The main metallic blue and black paint scheme on the car is neatly done though on our sample a few of the decals aren’t quite straight.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
