Chevrolet Camaro SS Indy Pace Car 1967 by Spark
Chevrolet Camaro SS Indy 500 Pace Car 1967
Providing the pace car for the Indy 500 is a matter of great prestige for American car makers and Chevrolet celebrated the launch of their new Camaro by supplying an SS specification convertible version for the 1967 race. Ex-Indy 500 racer Maury Rose was the nominated driver and the car was finished in white with blue interior and blue and gold signwriting on the sides. The overall look of the car is very good and the application and finish of the decals and trim is excellent. Our only gripe is that those yellow flags on the rear should be much larger, coming over half way down the mounting poles.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
