Greenbird LSR 2009 126.2mph by Spark
Something a little different from Spark this time. Greenbird is a British built, lightweight composite craft designed to set a new record for wind powered vehicles, something that it achieved in late March 2009. As the driver (or is he a helmsman?) has to tack and track the wind the speeds were measured using a GPS trace rather than following a straight line between traps on a powered record. Also unusual is that the model must be assembled upon receipt. The parts are very well finished and it all slots together simply and securely for display, so this will pose no problems whatsoever.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
