Edsel Citation Hard Top Coupe 1958 by Spark
The Edsel is one of those instantly recognisable vehicles and here we see the top of the line trim level in coupe form. Some of the chrome parts, such as the sill trims, are a little on the heavy side but the overall finish is very good with a deep gloss to the black paint and an equally good white finish covering the roof and the side cove panels. The interior trim is matching black and white and is also neatly done.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
