Riley MKXX Chevrolet Daytona 10 Gainsco by Spark
Spark tell us on the packaging and their lists for this model that it depicts the car that finished seventh at Daytona in 2009. It isn’t. In 2009 the car was officially Pontiac powered and decorated accordingly and also had very different front light arrangement and other subtle sponsor decal changes. The model does however match photos of the 2010 car very well indeed, though this car failed to finish the race.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
