Sauber C30 China 2011 Kobayashi by Spark
The second team whose 2011 F1 cars we have is Sauber and the cars are modelled in the Chinese Grand Prix, which was fairly eventful for both drivers. Kobayashi made contact with Sutil early on and ran much of the race with a hole in his nosecone eventually managing to finish tenth, while team mate Perez, who had out-qualified Kobayashi for the first time, received two drive through penalties for contact with other cars, Sutil again and Heidfeld, which put him a lap down. The models are neatly finished and match photos of the undamaged cars very well. The wing endplates are very fine, the paint finished evenly applied and the decals all carefully placed.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
