Easily the best looking of the 2012 field, McLaren’s low cockpit meaning that they didn’t need to resort to the stepped noses used by the other teams to comply with new maximum height regulations, the car also proved to be the fastest on track and the season started in positive form with a win for Button in Australia. The shape of the model looks good and there is plenty of fine detailing but the chrome finish has a slight texture to it almost as if the model has been foil wrapped. This is only visible close up and from shelf distance all is well.
