McLaren MP4/27 Monaco 2012 Hamilton by Spark
McLaren MP4-27 Monaco 2012 Hamilton
Hamilton and his McLaren were struggling for slow corner grip at Monaco, a far from ideal situation given the nature of the circuit, and he had to settle for fifth place at the end of the race. Spark’s model is typically well finished with plenty of carbon decal and crisply printed sponsor decals, but we do see a slight retrograde step when compared with most of their modern F1 subjects. The wing endplates are moulded rather than etched pieces, so a little thicker than usual.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
