McLaren MP4/27 1st Belgium 2012 Button by Spark
McLaren MP4-27 1st Italy 2012 Hamilton
When Spark started making current (or very recent) F1 cars we were impressed with the finesse of them when compared with the competition, particularly on areas such as rear wing endplates. The latest McLarens seem to be a slight step backwards in this area, just as Minichamps have introduced resin models with etched parts, Spark have used moulded parts here which, though very thin, are not quite as fine. A shame as the models are otherwise very well finished with excellent paint and plenty of carbon parts. Hamilton’s win in Monza was his third of the 2012 season.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
