Red Bull RB10 Australia 2014 #1 Vettel by Spark
Red Bull RB10 Australia 2014 Vettel
Alternative version SPK3086 Ricciardo
The Australian Grand Prix was the first time since 1988 that F1 had featured turbocharged engines and the major rule changes saw a bit of a shake-up in the pecking order, at the sharp end of the field at least. Vettel struggled but his teammate Daniel Ricciardo upheld Red Bull’s honour in his home race, until a fault with an FIA supplied piece of equipment saw him disqualified. Red Bull’s disguise of the nose extension on their car is simple and effective and Spark’s model replicates the overall shape well. The yellow sections of the livery look a little rich and orange to us but otherwise the livery is very well done.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
