Spark have done a fine job here in terms of picking out the detail differences between the GT Pro and GT Am specification Porsche from the 2011 Le Mans race. Most obvious is the rear bumper unit and the shape of the rear lights but there are plenty of other subtle changes including different designs of support for the rear wing. The decoration on both models is neatly applied with careful masking of multi-colour paint finishes where used and it all adds up to make attractive models. The IMSA Performance GT Pro entry was classified seventeenth overall while the Felbermayr family’s GT Am entry retired on the Saturday evening.
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
