Porsche 804 Test Session 1962 Jo Bonnier by Spark
Porsche 804 Test 1962 Bonnier
Details are a little sketchy on this model but the four tall intake trumpets and horizontal fan point to it being the car built with a four cylinder engine developed by Michael May as a stop gap due to the eight cylinder unit designed to go in the 804 wasn’t quite ready. Bonnier tested the car at Hockenheim over the winter of 1961/2 and it raced once, with revised suspension and front bodywork, at Zandvoort. The basic shape of the car looks good and the finish is the same satin silver which we have seen on several other Porsches of the period that Spark has made.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
