Cooper T53 USA 1962 Sharp by Spark
Hap Sharp is perhaps best known as a partner in and driver of Chaparral cars, but he had plenty of experience in other machinery including a handful of Grand Prix outings. This model depicts his car from the second of those races (the first was the US GP the previous years) and his privately entered Cooper was finished in an off-white familiar from those Chaparrals. The model is very neatly finished, too neatly in fact as the race numbers on the real car looked as if they had been applied in a hurry and were at all sorts of jaunty angles.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
