Oreca 03 Le Mans 2013 #48 Murphy Prototypes by Spark
The nominally Irish Murphy Prototypes team (based at Silverstone) made their second appearance at Le Mans with the same Oreca chassis as used the previous year, smartly finished in green, white and yellow. Our sample has, unusually for Spark, a couple of decals which haven’t fitted too well and this is most noticeable on the tail fin. It is easy enough to fix with a little touch of Microsol (MSSOL) but shouldn’t be necessary. The sponsorship is accurately enough placed though and it makes an attractive model.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
