Rondeau M379B 1st Le Mans 1980 #16 Rondeau/Jaussaud by Spark
Jean Rondeau’s outright win at Le Mans remains a unique achievement for a driver in a car of his own construction in this race. It’s a slightly unusual looking machine and one that has always been a popular modelling subject. Spark have done an excellent job of that bulbous shape and we see the car modelled with the additional shrouds on the side radiators that were present at the start of the race but removed later on. These have a slightly different paint texture and strips of decal to represent the race tape holding them, contrasting nicely with the deep gloss finish for the rest of the car.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
