Dauer-Porsche 962C GT 1st Le Mans 1994 #36 Baldi/Dalmas/Haywood by Spark
The rules changed for Le Mans in the
early 1990s and Group C was phased
out, apparently calling the end on the
massive success that Porsche had
had with their 956 and 962 during the
1980s. This didn’t put off Dauer who
converted a handful of 962 chassis
and had them homologated as road
cars enabling them to race in the GT category, wining the race overall with a GT
class car. The most notable changes are around the rear of the car and the model
captures the details pretty well. The wheels are rather shiny again but otherwise
the shape, paint finish and decalling all looks good.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
