Norma Pikes Peak 2013 #911 by Spark
Norma Pikes Peak 2013 Dumas
Having finished second at Pikes Peak on his first attempt in 2012, Romain Dumas returned in 2013 with a purpose built Honda-powered Norma prototype, weighing in at just 540kg. He was second fastest to Loeb in practice but come race day an electrical problem scuppered his run after just a few hundred metres. One thing the car was not lacking was downforce, with deep splitter on the front and a huge rear wing, neatly mounted on a very complex etched frame on the model. The low-line shape of the car is well replicated, there are plenty of fine details and as we’d expect from a car sponsored by Spark, the decoration looks very accurate.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
