Audi R8 LMS Merdeka 2010 #45 LKM by Spark
These two models represent attractively decorated machines from two increasingly popular Far Eastern races which see more and more European teams and drivers heading out to them. The United Autosports team was usually seen in the FIA GT3 series but for the GT race during the Macau Grand Prix weekend Danny Watts drove one of their R8s to third overall. For the Merdeka 12 Hours at Sepang, a race unusual in that it started at midnight and ran until midday, Joest entered a car for Le Mans winners Frank Biela and Marco Werner, ably supported by former Asia Porsche Cup champion Daryl O’Young and they finished second. Both models are very well finished and certainly make for unusual additions to any GT collection.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
