Porsche 917 1st Sebring 12hrs 1971 #3 Martini by Spark
Porsche 917 1st Sebring 1971
Martini sponsorship always makes for a good model subject and few are better looking, we think, than the silver short-tailed Porsche 917s. The car of Elford and Larrousse had needed some repairs after practice and on the model we see the correct mis-matched backgrounds of the race numbers on the doors and some fine silver decal tape ‘securing’ the rear deck. The paint finish is excellent and the decals all neatly placed, the outline of the front intake matching the painted rear canards.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
