Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Ring 2011 #23
The original P4/5 was built on a Ferrari Enzo chassis but for racing a new car was built based on the proven F430 Competizione. Its debut should have been in 2010 but it was 2011 before it hit the track in the Nurburgring 24 Hours with Salo, Cappellari, Larini and Giovanardi sharing driving duties and bringing the experimental machine home in thirty-ninth position. The car ran in raw carbon and there is a very neat carbon weave all over the model with event and supplier decals neatly supplied over the top. A fabulous looking machine, neatly modelled.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
