Aston Martin V8 Silverstone 6hrs 1980 #10 Hamilton by Tecnomodel
Duncan Hamilton's Aston Martin V8 evolved significantly over a number of years and after a failed attempt at Le Mans in 1977 and year of experimentation with turbocharging in 1978, it reappeared at Silverstone in May '79 with a low-line roof and many other modifications. Cooling and brakes were still an issue on the brutal looking machine but it still made it to Le Mans in June having finished 13th overall at Silverstone and raced on into 1980. Tecnomodel has released several versions and all are finished to a very high standard, with the decoration looking pretty accurate and the presentation is excellent.
