Lotus 40 Guards Trophy 1965 #8 Clark by Tecnomodel
Successor to the ill-fated Lotus 30, the 40 is often rather cruelly referred to as "a 30 with 10 more mistakes". The high point of the types brief racing career was Clark's second place at Brands Hatch, other results more often than not being DNFs due to accidents and cooling issues. A shame, as it was a pretty machine and Tecnomodel's miniatures are beautifully finished. We're particularly taken with the heat staining on the exhausts of the race versions contrasting the immaculate paint.
