Renault R28 1st Japan 2008 #5/6 Alonso/Piquet by SilverLine
Renault made a poor start to the 2008
F1 season but developments during the
year meant that in the later races theirs
was one of the fastest cars, Alonso
winning in Singapore and Japan. The
kit is nicely cast and looks like it should
be a reasonably straightforward build,
though the paintwork is quite involved.
The car had a very colourful livery and
it will be necessary to paint four colours
on the body, so you’ll need the masking
tape handy. Tamiya spray colours are quoted throughout, so UK builders may
have to improvise a little if you don’t have the paints in stock. Get the paint right
and it will make a very attractive model.
