Ford Escort RS1600 20th Safari 1971 #24 Makinen/Liddon by Trofeu
Only 32 of the 117 starters made it to the end of the Safari Rally in 1971, most of them as was often the case, locals. A few of the international stars survived though and Timo Makinen was among these, he and Henry Liddon coming home in 20th position. Trofeu's model is very well finished with neat decaling and plenty of fine detail, the animal bars typical for this event adding extra interest.
