Connaught A-Type Belgium 1953 Pilette by K & R Replicas
Andre Pilette finished eleventh and last in his home Grand Prix at Spa driving a Connaught entered by Ecurie Belge and finished in national yellow with a black nose band. K&R’s simple and well cast kit parts capture the shape of the car pretty well and though the built model photo in the instructions doesn’t show the nose band, it is mentioned in the text. Two cast grilles are included, so make sure you use the right one as per the drawings, otherwise it looks like plain sailing.

About K & R Replicas
Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
